What is a Christian to do?

A new president a new era, right? Things that were wrong and misconstrued during the Bush era will now be better during the Obama reign- correct?

Well, I'm not so sure. Bush left behind a horrendous scandal of torture and a weakened economy. Obama is trying to fix the economy all the meanwhile sending 17k troops to Afghanistan, funding stem cell research and removing protection of doctors who do not want to perform abortions.

What is a Christian to do?

The Proven Benefits of Fasting

"After controlling for several factors that protect against heart disease, the researchers found that only fasting made a significant difference in lowering the risk of heart disease. Among 448 people surveyed, intermittent fasting was associated with more than a 40% reduction in heart disease risk. Fasting was also linked to a lower incidence of diabetes. The study was published in October in the American Journal of Cardiology."

According to the article, even asthma patients benefited from intermittent fasting.

Everyone can benefit from intermittent fasting for it not only helps control weight, but offsets many diseases and prolongs life.

Faith Healing....or.... go to the doctor????

I read the story this morning about an 11-year old girl who died because her parents were waiting upon God to work the miracle. I'm speechless. I believe God heals, but I also believe that God gave man the ability to heal himself through medicine. What do you think?

How blessed were you this past year?

As the new year continues, it is easy for us to get excited about fulfilling our new year's resolutions and forget about the blessings that have been ours so far. Last year is gone. An economic crisis and lots of problems probably made you happy it is over. But, what about all the good things you experienced last year? How blessed were you? You have a good job, a great circle of friends an awesome family and an extraordinary God on your side. What else could be better?
